Vehicular access over Wembdon Common

  1. The land outlined in red on the plan below is known as Wembdon Common, and is owned by Wembdon Parish Council.
  2. The driving of vehicles over the grassed area of Wembdon Common is not permitted except by specific permission.
  3. Requests for such permission should be made by email to the Parish clerk.
  4. A request will normally only be granted for a specific occasion, not, for example, for a regular or irregular series of occasions.
  5. A request should include the proposed date, the reason for the requirement, and the type of vehicle.
  6. A grant of permission will depend on a number of factors, including the predicted state of the ground on the day of access, and the type of vehicle to be used.
  7. If the request is granted, the requester will be held responsible for the repair or reinstatement of any damage caused.
